Thanks to Patty Paine for including two of my poems in the 14th anniversary of diode alongside the work of Nicole Cooley, Chelsea Dingman, Jose Hernandez Diaz,  Jenny Molberg, and others. Please check them out--I don't always 'like' my own work, but I have good feelings about both these poems.

Swifted!

Quartet

Friends, Quartet, a newish journal showcasing poetry from women-identified poets over 50, is worth looking at. Four poet friends, Gail Braune Comorat, Jane C. Miller, Linda Blaskey, Wendy Elizabeth Ingersoll, curate this online journal, which this spring includes work by poets such as Ann Fisher-Wirth, Ellen Stone, Beth Copeland, Katherine Riegl, and me. Melody Wilson's poem, in particular, is full of lush language. I hadn't known this poet before, and am pleased to have been introduced to her work via Quartet.

Each poet comments, following her poem, about poetic influences. Always love reading this kind of info--so much better than a regular bio!

Here's how my poems begins:

Kyoto

beneath the five-tiered pagoda I sit
listening to the rain on the roof
roof roof roof roof

remembering your five fingers
down my spine
spine spine spine spine

Enjoy!
